Report: Russia’s Kaspersky Lab may ensure Mexico’s cyber security
MOSCOW, May 13 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Kaspersky Lab, an antivirus software maker, is in talks with Mexico to conclude a contract to provide cyber security services to the country’s government and other authorities, portal El Financiero reported late Thursday, citing Roberto Martinez, the company’s malware analyst for Latin America.
The company could take part in a U.S. $89 million cyber security program of Mexico until 2018.
Martinez said that there are multiple weak spots in cyber security systems at various state agencies of the Latin American country, as well as at similar entities of other countries, including the U.S.
